Bait Hassan Charitable Foundation Signs Agreement to Support Midwifery Training Programs

On Tuesday morning, January 6, an agreement was signed to finance equipment and educational materials for the Midwifery Program at the College of Health Sciences, to support three training centers located in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, Dhofar Governorate, and South Al Sharqiyah Governorate. The funding is provided by Bait Hassan Charitable Foundation, in collaboration with Athar (the Health Endowment Foundation).

This agreement comes as part of a social and developmental initiative aimed at contributing to the preparation and qualification of a national workforce specialized in midwifery—one of the most important health specialties related to maternal and child health. The Midwifery Program report noted that “the presence of nurses specialized in midwifery is critically important to ensuring the health of women and fetus before, during, and after childbirth, and it directly contributes to improving the quality of healthcare and reducing complications.” This highlights the strategic importance of the program and its vital role within the healthcare system.

As part of efforts to ensure high-quality implementation and efficient use of funds, Bait Hassan Charitable Foundation, in cooperation with the College of Health Sciences, dispatched an official delegation to the People’s Republic of China to inspect the required equipment and educational materials firsthand and verify their compliance with the highest quality standards. This visit contributed significantly to reducing material costs without compromising quality and also served as an important reference for identifying the college’s future needs for educational and training equipment.

Bait Hassan Charity Foundation confirmed that, as one of the charitable initiatives undertaken by the founders of Badr Investment Group, this initiative comes as part of its vision to support health education and build sustainable national capacities, thereby achieving a long-term impact on the quality of healthcare services and directly serving the community.
